A gazelle wakes up every morning in Africa. It knows that unless it can run faster than the fastest lion, then it will be killed.
Each morning, a lion would wake up. It knows that unless it can outrun the slowest gazelle, then it will starve to death.
It doesn’t matter whether you are a gazelle or a lion, when the sun comes up you’d better be running. With no boss breathing down your neck or clock to punch, It can be so tempting to stay in bed one hour longer, to postpone picking up the phone and contacting that prospect, or to focus your time and energy on the easy and fun stuff and put the unpleasant stuff off until later. Discipline is one of the core competencies you need to succeed at home-based business. If you are not doing what is required to succeed, then there won’t be someone to come along behind you and clean up your mess since you are now responsible for your success 24/7. You can say it’s do or die or eat or be eaten. You can truly succeed as a serious home-based owner as long as you are strong-willed and self-disciplined. In order to keep you on track and in constant motion, you also need a solid, thorough, and written plan. You can plan your daily activities a month in advance or even weekly to ensure continuous momentum. There are people who would rather dedicate each day of the week to a different task such as, Every Monday. Marketing During Tuesdays. You can try business building. During Wednesdays. Do customer relations and so on. Others prefer to perform a variety of tasks on any given day, for example, Monday.
Every Tuesday. Industry research in the afternoon and customer relations in the morning. The most important factor here is have a Plan and stick to it. Many people fail to recognize the critical importance of a structured plan even though most of them start a home-based business to create freedom.
This is why each morning, you should hit the floor running and keep ahead of those who are following behind and overtake those in front of you. Regardless if you are a gazelle or a lion, you’ve got to run!
